Midwest Fiber + Folk Art Fair

The Midwest Fiber and Folk Art Fair is just about here, so get ready for three days of workshops, demos, vendors, music, food and oodles of yarn and other fibery goodness! The show runs from this Friday through Sunday (16th – 18th), and is taking place at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Grayslake this year! The admission is $10 a day, but you can purchase a 3-day pass for $25. Biggie will be sharing a booth with talented painter, Sue Schneider — our booth number is #109, at cross aisle D… so stop by and say hi!

Can’t help but share…

I found out Friday that Biggie will be participating in Renegade Craft Fair Chicago yet again! And what’s even better is that Biggie will be sharing a booth with soapmakers, Soaphappy! It will be hard for me to resist buying all of their soapy goodness. So, mark your calendars for September 11 + 12 for some great Chi-town shoppin’… and stop by our sweet smellin’ booth…

I signed up for Ravelry back in 2007, and didn’t really do much with it… it was just another social networking thing to keep up with. But I’ve decided to spend a little more time there and update it with Biggie yarns and such. For those of you who do not know what Ravelry is, it’s a “place for knitters, crocheters, designers, spinners, weavers and dyers to keep track of their yarn, tools, project and pattern information, and look to others for ideas and inspiration” (quote from their site). See you there!

Renegade Holiday

My last show of the year will be Renegade Holiday Craft Fair! Two days of handmade goodness! The fair is free to attend and will also offer free trolley rides from the fair to a few spots along Division (Renegade Handmade, Nina, Greenhart Shop and Small Bar). Raffles, free stuff, food and drink vendors will be on hand… oh, and a ton of handmade vendors!! See you this Saturday and Sunday from 11am – 7pm!
